We’ve already captured the 3-Series sedan (F30), but here are the latest spy photos of the new Touring variant (F31).
These were recently taken during testing, and the model is very camouflaged, but it will take on the sedan’s controversial front-end look. On the back-end, things are a lot more traditional because there’s a sloping roofline that will blend into a rear tailgate with an integrated spoiler too.
In general, the model is a bit bigger than its predecessor so it will be accommodating a rear seat and more cargo capacity.
Engine options will transition from the sedan, and there will be a turbocharged 2.0-liter petrol with outputs of 184 PS (135 kW / 181 bhp) and 245 PS (180 kW / 241 bhp) and a 3.0 liter inline-six with 320 PS (235 kW / 315 bhp) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque. On the diesel end of the spectrum, we can expect a 2.0-liter unit producing 143 PS (105 kW / 141 bhp) and 184 PS (135 kW / 181 bhp).
