Subaru WRX STI Seen Testing at Nurburgring
The next generation Subaru WRX STI has been out testing on the Nurburgring. Well, it looks like this for the large back wing but it could just be that the basic model is having more bulk at the back and no doubt, more will be revealed in time.
The car was heavily camouflaged and so it was not that easy to tell. It did look different to the concept seen at the New York Auto Show being more like the current model than that one. The hood had no bold power bulge and the lower fascia also lacked the detailing that the concept car had. The rear fenders are also looking a lot smaller.
It makes the car look like just a bit of a warmed up version of the current one rather than the a production version which was expected to look quite different. However, there is a long time until the finished car will be marketed and so they could make a lot more changes before then. Looking back the BRZ mules looked terrible but turned out to look really good and so this could be a case of the same thing. We will just have to wait and see what the future brings with regards to the design!
