The 2014 Volkswagen Golf Estate has been pictured while making its first test runs. This is a prototype model but will form the basis for the new car. It is an estate car which is based on the redesigned hatchback and that means that its design will be familiar. However, it will incorporate a larger boot which will hold an extra 4.2 cubic feet’s worth of cargo. It will also have a built in roof rack so that even more items can be carried if required.
It is expected that it will have the same engine options as the standard Golf which are a 1.2, 1.4, 1.6 and 2.0 litre. It is expected that the Golf Estate might be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show because it should be ready early next year.
