The McLarebn MP4-12C Spider was seen testing recently with a lot of camouflage. This led people to the conclusion that it was going to have a facelift, but it seems that this was not the case. It now looks as though it will be the technology that is changing for the new P13 entry model car. The new shots taking while the car was testing at the Nurburgring show that the nose is not so disguised. It is expected that this new baby McLaren will compete with the Porsche and so have a 3.8-litre V8 that will produce 450 horsepower and appear in 2015 or 2016.
It will use the monocell carbon tub from McLaren as its basis. Autocar has also reported that it will be styled in a manner that will remind people of the P1. Therefore t could be that the camouflage on the front is there to hide LED lights rather than anything else.
