The Opel Insignia OPC Sports Tourer is due for a debut in Frankfurt, but it has been spotted. The pictures reveal the OPC letters on the back which stand for Opel performance Centre. This is the German equivalent to the VXL line at Vauxhall. The Corsa, Astra and Insignia are all expected to have the letters on their performance versions as well.
The Insignia will be having a refresh but spy photographers have got some early pictures of it. These were taken in Germany outside an Opel facility and so are pretty interesting
The car was seen completely undisguised in the Sports Tourer guise. It looks like it has had a few tweaks to how it looks, but actually what it under the bonnet could be a lot more interesting. It has a 2.8 litre twin turbo v6 at the moment which lends 325 horsepower to all of the wheels. It is rumoured though that the new model may have 400hp available which will make it a nifty little thing. We will have to be patient and wait until Frankfurt to find out what it will be offering though
