There have been rumours that there would be a Kia Soul produced in all-electric but no evidence had come to light on that idea. However, some spy shots have emerged which add some fuel to this theory. Reports have said that the Kia EV will be arriving at the beginning of next year with a price of $35,000 and a 120 mile range. However, this has just been hearsay until now.
The car pictured has a lot of heavy disguise both front and back, which means that it is not easy to spot what it will be like. However, it does seem different to the 2014 Soul that was shown at New York earlier in the year. It seems like the front is very different from the fascia to bonnet and the lights. It is expected that the grille on the standard Kia will be blocked off so that this model is more aerodynamic. There is no exhaust pipe shown in the pictures, which is one of the main reasons for thinking that this is an all-electric model.
There have been reports that have implied that the Soul EV will become the very first all electric car to be sold globally including China, Europe and the US. However, Nissan sells its Leaf in US and Europe and it has been said it will be being sold in China soon, although under a different name as the Dongfeng Fengshen E30.
