The first sightings of the 2014 Porsche 911 GT2 were while it was testing on the Nurburgring.
It had hardly any disguise on it and so it is clear to see that it is very closely based on the GT3. However, the wider rear fenders with their large air intakes and extended wheel arches give away what the car is. The aggressive bumpers can also be clearly seen as well as a dual exhaust system that is mounted centrally and a rear wing that is very prominent.
It is expected that it will have a 3.8 litre engine with six cylinder which will be able to do 560hp and 516lb/ft of torque. It is expected that it will send power to the rear wheels using a seven speed dual clutch transmission system. It is expected that in three seconds the car will be able to accelerate from 0-100 km/h and will be capable of speeds over 200mph.
It is expected that the car may appear at the Geneva Motor Show at the beginning of next year.
