Caught Testing: 2013 Lotus Exige

From what we have observed the 2013 Exige is the car to have.  It is nothing like the previous generations – however the handling and acceleration is still great. Our photographers have been able to catch some pictures that have allowed us to see these significant design differences. This newer model is more bulky and wider than the previous versions.

Things you can expect on the 2013 Lotus Exige:
•    Possibly a carbon fiber large fixed wing
•    A multi level rear diffuser
•    A wider body
•    Cleaner and more integrated designed taillights
•    Upgraded rear view window
•    A jettisoned car roof
Comfort and Performance
The information that our sources have provided us with make us feel that the Exige is going to be an amazing car.  Also, we feel that more than likely that this 2 passenger Exile is going to be a sports car. But, since it is going to be larger we feel that it will be more comfortable.  Also, even though the Lotus has never had plush interiors we feel that the plastic will be upgraded and the kit car feel we know longer be present.
One thing you should not think is the care is losing it hard core. This is because it will probably have the same type of supercharged engines that the Evora and the Evora S have. We think that this car will be able to reach 60 mph in five seconds – maybe even less. However, there is no need to fret about the car being light due to the fact it will come with double wishbone suspension as well.
Currently, we suspect that the car will have and 6 speed manual transmissions however it is possible that by the time it is released it will have an automatic one. Also, even though the Lotus has a racy imagine at this time in the future you may be able to expect other models to help boost their sells. Not to mention there is also talk about the Locus having a 6 speed automatic from the Evora IPS available.
You can expect this model; however, make an appearance at the Geneva Auto Show in the year 2012.
