Caught Testing: 2013 Aston Martin DB9

Caught Testing: 2013 Aston Martin DB9

Aston Martin is almost ready to release a new model. This will be the first upgrade of the DB9 since 2003. However, the newer model will keep the LED headlights from the other models along with some other features as well. You will notice the rear taillights are similar to those on the DBS. However, the grille and the bumper have undergone some drastic changes.  You will notice that the spoiler is smaller which makes the V-12 engine receive a better airflow. Not to mention the fact that the aerodynamic grip has been improved as well. When you take a look at the rear of the car you will see that it is wilder and the position of the license plate has also shifted.

More Power and Better Economy
You can expect for the newer DB9 to ride on VH chassis even though the car is supposed to be lighter. Another then you can expect is for the car to reach more than 11 mpg and 18 mpg when traveling in the city and on the highway. Also, the transmission looks like it will be a 6-speed manual that features Touchtronic automatic gearbox. However, there is a possibility that the transmission may be a 7 speed also.  Another thing that we are trying to figure out is whether this newer car will remain a DB9 or change to a DB10 or maybe even a DB11.
