Spies caught Audi test driving its TT RS prototypes of both Roadster and Coupe versions.
On the car spy photos Audi TT RS Coupe and Roadster 2017 we can see that the automobiles were wearing some camouflage. The prototypes seemed to acquire most of the production features, which implies their soon premiere. It will be possible to buy automobiles already in the end of the year.
Both models will operate on the competent Audi’s engine for 2.5 liters, which is turbocharged and has five cylinders. The same motor is installed on the Sportback RS3, where it produces 367 units of horsepower. The RS3 U.S. version is expected to produce 400 units of horsepower. However the upcoming models will likely to be more powerful.
Several years ago, Audi had a prototype with the gearbox that was manual and had six speeds. Some hope that this gearbox will be transported to the new models as an alternative to the DSG with seven speeds. The TT RS will be disposable with a standard quattro system for all-wheel-drive. Also the version is expected to get the technology OLED for the back lights. The company presented new back lights in January, which implies the model should be released very soon.
