Before the end of this year, Audi will present two new crossovers – Q5 and Q2. The company released its first crossover almost ten years ago.
The Q5 model will replace the current Q5 that was introduced in 2008 and had some modernizations in 2012. Customers can expect to see an upcoming version with the similar features and dimensions. However, the automobile will also have some improvements in order to compete with BMW X3, Mercedes GLC, and Macan from Porshe that has the same supporting structure.
The cost of the Q2 can be cheaper than the price for most of the models in the range. The Q2 might have a smaller size in order to compete with the upcoming Countryman from Mini. More details about the automobile will be available within this year.
Audi also announced it will produce its first electric automobile in 2018. The vehicle will be battery-powered, the concept of which was demonstrated last September in Frankfurt. By 2020, all these additions will expand Audi’s range to 60 models.
Audi began producing crossovers in 2005 by releasing the Q7 model. Then, the Q5 was released in 2008 and three years later the Q3 was introduced.
