2020 Audi RS Q3 Spied Testing

Videos of the 2020 Audi RSQ3 have emerged. They surfaced after Audi tested it during the recent Industry Pool at Nurburgring. Initially, people thought that the car manufacturer was testing an SQ3 variant. However, reliable sources have confirmed that Audi Sports was examining the performance of a future version of the RS Q3.

For example, most RS cars have oval shaped exhausts instead of the quad-tip arrangement that is present in this prototype. Bulky brake discs at the front are another feature in this early model. These chunky discs are absent in RS cars. Other features are an aggressive front fascia and a lowered suspension.

Engine Power
The 2020 RSQ3 will have 400 horsepower in addition to a torque of 479.96-newton meters. It will have a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine as well. This car will accelerate from 0mph to 60mph in less than 5 seconds. In contrast, a 2014 car review on MSN stated that the GLA250 accelerates from 0 mph to 60 mph in 6.9 seconds. That means power and speed will be significant hallmarks of the 2020 RSQ3.

For example, the current one has 340 horsepower under regular use and 367 horsepower in performance guise. That means the new version, which has 400hp, will be faster than the current one. Interestingly, the Audi Sports division did not market the current RSQ3 in the US, but it might do so for this one.

Current Plans
Audi is working on redesigning the Q3. It will reveal this redesigned model this year, and the complete version will be in showrooms by 2019. Audi will present it as a 2020 model. Unsurprisingly, the release of the 2020 RSQ3 may happen six months after the redesigned Q3 hits the market. Also worth noting is that Audi has plans of launching the RSQ5 and he RSQ8 sometime soon.
