2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 to be Priced at $75,000

Valentine’s Day is on its way and while it is not really a proper holiday, many people do enjoy celebrating it. The new Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is due to open its order books on the 13th February so could be an ideal Valentine’s Day present ready for when it goes on sale in the spring for $75,000.
It might sound like a lot of money to spend but it does have some impressive features. There is a 7.0 litre V8 engine which is capable of 505hp. This is the same engine as in the outgoing Corvette Z06. It will also have a six speed manual transmission and Brembo carbon ceramic brakes. There will be an aerodynamics package and track tuned suspension. There are some things that it does not have though such as regular audio speakers (it just has one speaker for the seatbelt chime and no radio at all) and also no air conditioning. Customers can choose between a selection of paint colours; black, silver ice metallic, summit white, ashen grey metallic and red hot. There is one option for $1150 which will add air conditioning and six audio speakers.
The price forms a large $17,650 gap between this car and the next most expensive Camaro which is the 580-hp ZL1 Coupe that is more powerful. However, the outgoing Corvette that it is replacing did cost more at $76,595. Both of the cars are built for use on a track and so the Z/28 could be seen as a cheaper Z06 which has a back seat. The otherw ay to consider it is as the only Z06 thatw ill be available on the market until the next one appear in about a year. This will be the C7 stingray. The deliveries of this car will start in the spring and it will be exciting to see, although the high price tag may put many people off.
