One of the models, which may be based on a new Chrysler platform, is the Lancia Ypsilon, out of which the market is expected in 2012. On models not much is known, but spy photographers managed to find the first prototype.
As always happens with new models of the Lancia, specialists in the first place would focus on power plant, making it one of the most efficient and powerful in its class, especially considering that before the engineers were new transmission. Also do not forget about the electric car and hybrid.
If you believe the rumors, the official next generation Lancia Ypsilon will be presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March next year and the car will appear in the UK by the end of 2011. Although Chrysler does not expect that next year will be able to sell more than 1,800 units of Ypsilon.
Ypsilon but not the only model that receives a platform Chrysler, probably a new Delta also will not stop helping the U.S. company, the only difference will be that the radiator grille and the corresponding label on it.
Delta would receive five engines, including 1.4-liter diesel unit and a 1.4-liter Multijet. Satellite navigation, incidentally, may come as standard.
