Peugeot has begun to test the sports coupe with 2+2 formula, which is based on the 308 RC Z concept car, first introduced two years ago at Frankfurt Auto Show. Serial car is virtually no different from the prototype.
Coupe will be built in the modernized 308 hatchback platform, and will also receive an extended track and reconfiguration steering. Top version of the car will be equipped with a 1.6-liter four turboengine capacity of about 218 horsepower as well as the six mechanical gearbox.
Name of the serial car and detailed specifications will be announced during the world premiere, scheduled for September at 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show. 2010 Peugeot Sport Coupe 2+2 will cost in Europe about 23 000 euro.
