There have been some spy photos taken of the 2015 Nissan Juke, which are the first that have been taken. There is a lot of camouflage on the vehicle and so it is hard to see exactly what updates have been made. However, it looks like there will be changes to the mirror caps, lights, wheels and fascias. The bug eye headlights look the same as in the current model but the turn signals look like they will be changing to the boomerang shape that many of Nissan’s new models are adopting. The metallic grille struts look like they are thicker and wider and forming the V–motion mouth of the brand. This particular model has been pretty popular with customers pretty much because it looks so cool. This means that it is a great credit to the Nissan name, very much more that the Cube wagonette, which although it is bigger, is just not so fast and funky. It is unknown as to whether they will come up with a toned down facelift for the Juke or a weird look. It is expected that the platform will remain pretty similar to what is there already, perhaps with a retuned chassis or more sound deadening materials to keep it quieter. There has been no information about whether there will be any changes to the powertrain. Currently the 1.6 litre turbo four manages 188 horsepower and it has the option of a CVT or six speed manual and it is expected that there will be these options on the new model. The Nissan NISMO brand is being worked on and so it is expected that there will be a 197hp Juke NISMO and 215hp Juke NISMO RS available eventually. The car will be competing with the Scion xB, Mini Cooper Countryman, Kian Soul, Subaru XV Crosstrek and Fiat 500L. It is expected that it will debut in the spring and therefore be available for sale in the autumn. There is such close competition that there is no room for an increase in price so it is expected that the current tag of $19,800 will continue to be the cost.
