Its time for an up date on the last dinosaur again, and this time its the AMG version of the Mercedes G that gets some treatment. The G55 AMG will now also get the new 5.5 liter twin-turbo engine that we have seen in the CLS 55 AMG for example. That will give this beast between 525 to 544 horsepower depending on what power stage AMG decides to give the G. What ever power output it will get , you really need to have your own oil field to be able to enjoy it a full speed. Even if AMG promises a lower fuel consumption than the current version, it will still be horribly high. There will also be some optical changes , such as new mirrors, new air intakes (on this prototype it looks like the whole front bumper is splitted into 3 coolers), LED daydriving lights and so on. The brakes also look updated on this monster. Debut could be scheduled for Detroit in January 2012.
