There have been some interesting spy shots taken recently of the 2015 Ford Mustang 2015 prototype on the streets. These are the first pictures of the car and so it is not surprising that it was very heavily disguised when it was spotted. It is therefore very difficult to seevery much of the style but the small horizontal headlamps can be seen. Ford have already stated that they intend to move away from the expensive large headlamp arrays that they have had in the past and so it seems that this car may be the first one to take on this new technology. It was the Evos concept that was the first car to display them though.
The disguise does not quite cover up the entire car and so the heavily sculpted sills on the rockers can be made out pretty well. It does look like the car is smaller overall than the current Mustang from the general shape and zsize. However the short overhang on the front and the dual piston callipers certainly make it look like it could be exciting. There have also been some reports that the car will have EcoBoost power and independent rear suspension, which also make it sound like it will be great to drive too.
There has also been a report that the 2015 Mustang has a current codename of S550 and it will have either a 5.0 litre V8 or 3.7 litre V6 engine. In Europe there will be a turbocharged four cylinder option as well which could possibly make its way to the US too.
