This Porsche 991.2 Targa GTS prototype was spied recently with minimal camouflage testing in Spain. If you look closely, you can see a sportier GT3-style front bumper which is rumored to come as part of an aero/sport package for the regular version once launched. The refreshed GTS will come with forced induction with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat six in place of the older, naturally aspirated 3.8-liter engine unit. The new 991.2 Targa GTS should be getting a power increase by an extra 30 horsepower increase to the 991.2 Carrera S engine. The Targa will be sold along side the regular coupe and convertible offering a manual or PDK dual-clutch transmission, sending power to either the rear wheels or all-four wheels. Inside, expect to see a new steering wheel design, and the latest 7″ touchscreen infotainment system developed by Porsche. It is unknown when we will see the new Porsche 911 (991.2) Targa GTS in auto shows, but judging by the amount of camouflage, it shouldn’t be too long.
