Northern Sweden is where many manufacturers have chosen to do some winter testing on their cars. Porsche is no exception as they are testing their latest Panamera. The car only had a small amount of disguise and is a four door Porsche. It looks like the roofline will be more sloping and elegant than the current model but the mirrors, grille and lights look similar to those on other models of Porsche. The car will be based on the MSB platform and have the same underpinnings as the newest Bentley Continental as well as perhaps an Audi variant. This new platform will mean that the car will be lighter than the current one. It is expected to have a choice of V6 and V8 engines as well as a choice of rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. There will be an e-hybrid system as well. The first four door Porsche was available in 2009 and then it was improved in 2013 when a facelifted model came out. It is therefore thought that timing wise, this should mean that this second generation Panamera should appear in the next few years, perhaps in 2016 as a 2017 model. It could provide motivation for Porsche to bring out the shooting brake version of the Sport Turismo in order to go along with it and perhaps a two-door coupe or convertible versions as well, but time will tell.
