There are some patchwork creations of the prototypes for the 2014 Ford Fiesta hatchback and sedan coming out. This subcompact hatchback car has been out since 2010, and there are some spy photographs that show the duo will be getting a facelift very soon fortunately.
This is significant. This is the tiniest model that Ford sells, and the Fiesta will continue to get a bigger focus because it occupies such a large part in the minds of consumers, and it will continue to be enhanced as far as fuel efficiency, equipment, and European influence. The 2014 Fiesta will keep some of the current model’s trendy look and features, but a new change will make sure that that car is brand new and awesome in the eyes of consumers.
The platform, and the underlying principles of the Fiesta, won’t change. There are going to be come great beautiful updates though. On the front end, the Fiesta will get rid of its big dragon eye headlights, and it will get some thinner versions that are seen on the 2013 Taurus and Fusion models. The existing model has a very thin grille, and it has a lower intake design too. It looks more like the Fusion. There will be a bigger grille with Aston Martin look slats in between the headlights and a tiny opening below.
There will be some minor aesthetic adjustments, and there will also be some changes to the powertrain. There will be a new turbocharged engine in it, and it will have a brand new EcoBoost engine. The new EcoBoost motor will completely get rid of the Ford Fiesta 1.6 liter.
There is going to be some competition from Chevrolet, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, Toyota, and Nissan.
It will probably come out in 2014, and there is no telling on the price. The Fiesta ST will definitely come out sometime next year. The refreshed Fiesta should be out at next year’s auto show in 2013.
The Fiesta is Ford’s flagship car in the subcompact division, and they are definitely going to be improving and tweaking every element of it. They are going to make an impact in the minds of consumers.
