New BMW M3 Out In 2014 19 April 2012, eagleweb @ 7:18 am

BMW will come out with a brand new M3 to top off the F30 3-series line-up in the latter portion of 2014.

There is a new issue of CAR out this May that will let all the details out of the bag on this riveting new car. You can get a digital look at the car through the magazine version online.
What is the story on the BMW 3?

This is the fifth model version of the M3, and they are preparing a familiar car to the E92 model, and it will have the same kind of sporty and well-rounded look.

These times are tough on carbon, and the 4.0-litre V8 is going to be shuffled out in lieu of a tinier 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine. Number two and three of the M3 had six-pots in place.

The sources close to CAR magazine suggest that the M3 will come out with a 450ps compared to the E92.

How is BMW going to get so much out of a tired little six-pot?

There will be a twin-turbocharged engine on it. There is some gossip going on that the company will be making a V6 out of the former V8, but the current tips suggest a very traditional six-cylinder is being built now.

It will be worked upon very heavily in order to get it up to the standards on the M division, and give it that colorful, revved up ability that the huge price tag will demand.

The 3-series in general is a lot lighter than the models before it, and the M3 should be even lighter. There might be some carbonfibre built in. This will tie in a connection to the Project I line-up of vehicles out soon.

Where will you be able to buy the F30 BMW M3?

It should be coming out in the summer of 2014. There is an artist’s impression above of it, and the two-door coupe and convertible vehicles will be coming out soon after. They will probably have the M4 moniker on them. The company likes to make its sportier cars even-numbered.

The car will go from 0 to 60 mph in just under five seconds.
