Spy photographs were taken of the third generation Audi TT while undergoing some final tests. It is expected to debut in March at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
The photos reveal a few new features of the car. The rear lights have some new funky graphics and it is expected that the exterior will be closely based on the Allroad Shooting Brake concept that was seen at the North American International Auto Show earlier in the month. The interior of the car was already showcased at Las Vegas CES so it is just the engine that will be a mystery.
It is expected that it will use the MQB platform from Volkswagen and that will have the 1.8 litre TFSI which can do 180hp and the 2.0 litre TFSI which can do 220hp. It is expeted that there will be a TT-RS version as well with a more powerful five cylinder turbocharges engine capable of 380hp.
During NAIAS, Ulrich Hakenberg, the technical boos at Audi said that there might be a crossover spawned from the new TT form the Allroad Shooting Brake concept.
