The latest spy photos to be taken of the 2014 Land rover Discovery have showed that it has a facelift. It will have its official debut next month, but these pictures give a great taster of what to expect.
There will be slim LED strips, in the same style as the new Evoque and Range Rover. It will also have some modifications to the shape of the grille on the front with elliptical cut out areas for the head lights. The fog lights have also been changes and the turn signals have been moved in to the wing mirrors. On the back the tail light configuration ill see some changes.
The car will borrow the Jaguar F-Type S’s supercharged V6 3.0 litre engine. It will be able to produce 380 HP like the Jaguar can. This engine replaces the V8 5.0 which is larger and thirstier. It will also firstly be combined with an eight speed automatic transmission but a nine speed auto one is on the cards for later models.
The Discovery will be shown in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show where the full facelift will be able to be seen.
