If the testing of EPA is approved then C-Max will go better than Toyota Prius which is its competitor, by only 3mpg. The Sales may be in the fall. Though the difference if only 3 mpg the fuel economy will have a large difference. Actually the Europeans will take the fuel economy rating in the reverse that is fuel volume per distance. The C-Max hybrid and the Prius V will give more than 40 miles for one gallon of gas. This 47-mpg will be the same as the Fords estimate for its fusion hybrid sedan. The four cylinder 2.0 liter running on an efficient and less powered Atkinson cycle which makes 141 hp. This is with an electric motor which gi8ves a drive train output for the C-Max hybrid approximately 188hp. A hybrid version called the C-Max energy will be in the market later. The cost of C-Max hybrid is a bit expensive. Ford is with the price of $25, 995 which includes $795 for reaching home.
