BMW 3 Series GT peels off more camo 5 September 2012, eagleweb @ 7:40 am

There is absolutely no point in discussing the fact whether it is actually right for a brand like BMW will be going ahead and creating a new version, that is Gran Turismo especially for its 3 series variant, especially if we consider the option of dismal sales of its Gran Turismo version of 5 series in the US. However, there is no denial to the fact that the BMW grades this new variant of its 3GT as a car that is style conscious with extremely dynamic prowess that go perfectly well with its looks. The only information that is available here is that 3 series will be launched very soon and would be debuted in September in the Motor show that will be held in Paris.
These 3 series GT prototype photographs were recently caught by our spy photographer when it was tested in the streets of Europe. This was also the last time it was spotted by our experts. Even though the model looks like a standard issue 3er in the front, the rump was styled and looked pretty neat. The previous reports stated that the new 3GT will use the two piece tailgate, which comes could be seen in the larger 5GT. This means just the trunk portion or the whole hatchback could be opened.
According to our experts, the official powertrain detail of this new model is still up in the air. However, the customers will not be able to expect too much engine choices that are offered in the current 3 Series sedan models. This means, the 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four, which is available in the base model as well as the larger 3.0 liter turbo six in the top range models. Although, the above mentioned information is purely speculation, we are expecting to get the complete details of the car in Paris within few weeks.
