This prototype was spied uncovered recently with the new Volkswagen design language, and updated luxurious interior from the 2018 Passat spied recently. The Teramont will be competing with the Ford Explorer and the Toyota Highlander to name a couple. It should be built on the Volkswagen MQB platform. It will be powered by a V6, and a possible four cylinder engine could be available. That would power the front, or all 4 wheels. The VW Teramont will likely have a hybrid power-train option too, instead of a diesel. The Teramont will probably be revealed as a 2019 model to allow for further testing before releasing it. Expect to see the new SUV soon at upcoming auto shows in quarter 4 of 2017. The Teramont will probably be produced at VW’s Chattanooga assembly plant in Tennessee.
