2018-Jeep-Wrangler-Pickup-spy-2LOOK AT IT: Jeep’s new Wrangler pickup is a really real thing!

2018-Jeep-Wrangler-Pickup-spy-1AEV (American Expedition Vehicles) has been doing this for years to JKs. They call them Brutes. This would take some of the wind out of AEVs sails, but I don’t imagine they were moving a lot of jeeps at nearly six figures a piece. But AEV had the good sense to offer the hemi in their nearly 3 ton truck. If they insist on powering this nearly full size truck with a 3.8 liter mini van engine, it will be the suck.

2018-Jeep-Wrangler-Pickup-spy-4The coolest concept…that no one will ever actually buy. For it to sell, it must be priced below the more refined offerings such as the Tacoma, Frontier, Colorado. It won’t be so it’ll sit on the dealer lots. Too bad because I’d love to own one, but I feel the novelty would wear off quickly.

2018-Jeep-Wrangler-Pickup-spy-31It will sell, it’s a Jeep. Even the compass and patriot sell like hotcakes. Jeep people are loyal and are looking forward to the pickup. It may even bring in more customers to the brand. Either way it will be an excellent addition the Jeep brand. I will be looking to trade in my 15 JKU on a new JLU. Like I have said before, the only reason FCA is still alive is because of Jeep.

  1. If there’s a TWO-DOOR Wrangler pickup, I might be interested in one. I realize I’m something of a “counter-revolutionary” in my distaste for four-door pickups, but I just don’t like the looks of them. Four door pickups look like bastardized SUV’s to me and not like “real” pickups.

  2. It will never match up against the current kiddie trucks. Seriously. F150, Tacoma, frontier, canyon, Colorado… too many heavy hitters

  3. Surprising C&D isn’t using this photo to show proof of the new mid-engined corvette… Смайлик «smile» I mean, obviously, there is enough room behind the driver for the engine…

  4. Those wheels… ew… looks kind of like the Chinese Mahindra pickups that were gonna be brought into the U.S. a few years back…

  5. Just speculation at this point, but I’m guessing ridiculously expensive, underpowered and loaded with that famous Fiat quality.

  6. I’m not a fan of the 3.6 gas motor but an 8spd trans with a smaller version of the 5.7 perhaps with a turbo would be pretty cool.

  7. Hopefully it will not leak water like other Wranglers Смайлик «smile» as I have been told by other current Wrangler owners…
