Citroens DS-family is expanding and next in line is the DS5 spotted here during cold weather testing in Northern Scandinavia.
The DS5 is said to be a mixture between wagon, van and luxury sedan and according to rumors from Citroen the design will be something really new and exciting.
Expect some design influences from the Citroen C-SportLounge concept from 2005. Engines will be all from petrol, diesel and even a diesel hybrid called Hybrid4. The first version of the Hybrid4 has a 163 bhp 2.0 litre HDi FAP engine linked to a 37 bhp electric motor. The combination produces 200 bhp, has an electric only mode and four-wheel drive when required. This system will make its first debut in the 3008 during 2011 but will soon follow to other models.
It’s possible that Citroen will show us a production ready concept in Geneva in March with the production car being revealed at Frankfurt Car show in September.
