Could this be the first test mule for the Audi RS7 Sportback? Well, we think so after seeing those massive brakes both front and rear. And yes, it’s having quad exhaust pipes just like the S-models usually have but in this case we think it’s just a trick in the attempt to fool us. The RS7 will more likely have one big exhaust pipe on each side like all the other RS models. We have seen different prototypes for the Audi S7 several times, and none of them had these big brakes behind the wheels.
Latest rumors are talking about a 4 liter twin-turbo V8 delivering some 550-600 horsepower to all four wheels via the 7 speed dual clutch gearbox.
Main target will be the Mercedes CLS63 AMG, but it will also try to snatch buyers from those who are interested in Porsche Panameras and Aston Martin Rapide. Since the price tag will be much lower than the Aston it could work out, even if I still believe that the Aston Martin has much better looks.
Debut is planned for the Frankfurt Car Show in September and by then we can also expect some more aggressive body parts on the car, such as wider fenders, a deeper front spoiler with massive air intakes and bigger wheels.
